Students built both virtual and physical models of sodium stearate, connecting molecular structure and chemistry concepts through hands-on learning. And So the Revolution Begins... On their very first day at the Innovus Microschool, students didn't simply learn about innovation—they began practicing it.

Students were introduced to the Design Thinking process, Google X's Moonshot methodology, and the Innovation Sweet Spot framework, then immediately put these tools into action—balancing desirability, feasibility, and viability as they tackled a real-world problem and began transforming ideas into meaningful solutions.

Education Reimagined! This morning, Sunday August 9, at 7:30 a.m., four FLCOE (Florida Conference Office of Education) AE4 (Adventist Education in the 4th Industrial Revolution) Innovation Scholars participated in the AE4 Robotic Surgery Experience at the AdventHealth Nicholson Center in Celebration, Florida.

Through a partnership with Minimally Invasive Solutions, the students had the extraordinary opportunity to join Peter Carnegie, CEO of Minimally Invasive Solutions, as he trained cardiac surgeons in the use of the da Vinci Surgical System to perform mitral valve repair procedures. Minimally Invasive Solutions is a member of the AE4 Partner Network.

This is what education can look like when learning moves beyond the traditional classroom. Through AE4, students aren't just learning about emerging technologies—they are gaining firsthand exposure to how innovation, engineering, medicine, and robotics come together to solve real-world problems.

AE4 is a STEM+C Innovation Magnet School-within-a-school program and is an innitaitve of the Florida Conference Institute for Leadership and Innovation, the research and development arm of FLCOE.
