Sports in Kansas Football Player to Watch: Nolan Nash, Labette County (6-0, 180), Sr. WR/ATH
Nolan Nash enters his senior season as one of the most versatile playmakers in Class 4A after earning Sports in Kansas First Team Non-Senior All-State ATH honors. The 6-foot, 180-pound standout collected First Team All-SEK honors at wide receiver, defensive back and return specialist. A true all-around contributor, Nash finished his junior season with 276 rushing yards, 383 receiving yards, 933 all-purpose yards, 74 tackles, three interceptions and 10 touchdowns while helping Labette County to a 9-3 record and a trip to the sub-state round. He also starred on the basketball court with Sports in Kansas All-State honorable mention honors and was part of an All-State 4x100 relay team in track. Nash currently holds an offer from McPherson College.
After helping lead Labette County on a deep playoff run, Nash is focused on taking another step this fall. “We have a high ceiling, and I’m driven to reach it every day,” he said. “Last season is over, and now I’m focused on proving I can compete at an even higher level. I’m excited for the opportunity this season gives me to make an impact and show I belong at the next level. I’m putting in the work on and off the field to earn my chance to play college ball.” Alongside fellow standout Deontae Fields, Nash will once again be a key piece on offense, defense and special teams.
Fun Fact: away from football, Nash enjoys music just as much as athletics. He plays guitar and has built a growing collection of five guitars, with plans to keep adding to it.
