On January 10th we sponsored the Southeast District Welding Contest in Altamont, Kan. Congratulations to the top three winners of the A group: 1st - Broc Harris of Girard; 2nd - Ethan Hogan of West Elk; 3rd - Zaylain Baldwin of Labette County.

Thompson Brothers is proud to support our local students by giving the top 3 winners scholarships to go towards their education at one of our local welding programs.

What an outstanding group of kids in our local communities - you’ll be hard pressed to meet a more polite group of students.

Parliamentary Procedure State Champs πŸ†

Had to qualify at the district level to earn a spot at State, compete against the top team in every district to make the final four, then perform again to secure that first place finish - qualifying to represent the state of Kansas at the National level πŸ‘

This team knows how to put in the work and effort and hours it takes. And they're fun, too! So happy they got the payout today. Equally as excited to watch them become the movers and shakers of tomorrow.

Congrats Parli-Pro - enjoy your moment! You've earned every bit of it!

LC FFA members are at it again πŸ”₯

The Parliamentary Procedure Team secures a top spot to compete in the FINAL ROUND at the Kansas State FFA Convention underway in Manhattan πŸ™Œ

During competitions yesterday, the team posted the highest overall test scores and came out of preliminaries with the highest overall team score 🧠πŸ’ͺ

The time taker even stopped Mr. Z to say they were an impressive team to watch! They make it look easy but this Par-Law team has put in hours and hours of practicing debates, memorizing motions and rules of order and must execute a meeting with absolute accuracy. πŸ’―

Competition resumes this morning - good luck guys & gals!

Team members are:
Back row L-R: Alex Meister, Tanner Templeton, Noah Wiley
Front row L-R: Charli Alloway, Lakin Giager, Cecilla Newby
