What if there is only love?
So, just like many of you, I can get completely overwhelmed with anxiety and fear.
Particularly when going through transitions in life, fears can surface that I thought I already had worked through, deep rooted angst and terrors about the future.
For me, this manifests in depression, in feeling as if my insides are in knots, and in a terrifying paralysis of my inner world.
Many years ago I developed techniques to bypass this to avoid the pain. Ways to distract me, patterns of behavior that bounded in old ways of survival, ways to jump over the feelings I don’t want to acknowledge and avoid facing parts of myself I refuse to own and love.
When we are faced with this we have several options. We can choose to continue to avoid facing discomfort. To continue denying our own dark places, and only love the parts of ourselves that fits the version of us we can accept.
Or- when we are ready, we can sit with the totality of ourselves and face the parts that has been pushed down. I know that no truth will be denied forever. If it is your truth, it will continue to raise its head, whether it fits in with your self image or not.
And this brings me back to the beginning. Fear arise when your truth contradicts your life. Your plans. Your image.
When your truth forces you to change.
Change can be terrifying. It can be paralyzing.
And yet- what if there is only love and nothing to be afraid of?
What if you face your truth, work with it instead of against it? Could this inner work you do contribute to the collective transformation of the one consciousness of this earth?
Could it be, that your willingness to love all of yourself heals your little part of this universe, and helps bring healing to something much much larger?
Could this be our true work?
