While our Early Bird Discount has ended, AHA is still offering $50 off when you select the Pay in Full option at registration.

And don’t worry — Pay in Full doesn’t mean you have to pay it all today! It simply means your balance must be paid in full by October 1st. Payments can be split into:

Do you have a child interested in playing hockey or learning to skate? **AHA Learn to Skate (LTS) registration is OPEN for both Session 1 and Session 2!**

🟢 Session 1: October–December
🟢 Session 2: January–February
🟢 Skate Days: Mondays & Thursdays between 5–6 PM

And if you’re worried about equipment—we’ve got you covered! 🙌 **AHA provides equipment to borrow on a first-come, first-served basis.** All you need to provide is a pair of skates!

We’re excited to welcome Addi Marceau back to lead our LTS program this season!Expect a whole lot of fun while your child builds confidence and learns the fundamentals needed to get comfortable on the ice. 🏒💚

Today is Election Day, and the Alpena Hockey Association encourages our community to vote **YES** on the County Youth & Recreation Millage.

Over the years, this millage has made a tremendous impact on AHA by helping fund:

💲 Player fee reductions
🥅 Tournament support for our annual Battle on the Bay Tournament

These funds allow us to keep hockey more affordable for local families while continuing to provide quality opportunities for our young athletes. The savings we receive are passed directly on to our members, and many of the programs we offer simply wouldn't be possible without this support.

🏒 Coach Registration is NOW OPEN for the 2026–2027 AHA Hockey Season! 🏒

The Alpena Hockey Association is excited to announce that coach registration is officially open! If you're planning to be on the ice this season, now is the time to get everything completed so you're ready for opening day.

✅ All coaches must register with BOTH:
• USA Hockey
• Alpena Hockey Association (AHA)

Before stepping on the ice, all USA Hockey requirements must be current, including:
✔️ USA Hockey Registration
✔️ SafeSport Certification
✔️ Background Check
✔️ Any required age-specific or coaching education modules

You can verify your status anytime by logging into your USA Hockey Dashboard.

⚠️ Important Reminder: Per USA Hockey policy, all on-ice coaches must be fully registered and compliant with USA Hockey. The AHA Board will be verifying coach eligibility throughout the season, and coaches who are not current with these requirements will not be permitted on the ice. This is a USA Hockey requirement that every association is required to enforce.

Please take a few minutes to get everything up to date now so you're ready when the season begins.
