What does Head Start look like in Northeastern Michigan?

It looks like children learning in classrooms, families supporting each other, community gatherings and so much more.

This Head Start Awareness Month, we’re highlighting the many ways NEMCSA partners with children and families to help them thrive.

This program year, we’ve served over 1,400 children across 22 counties through Head Start, Early Head Start, Strong Beginnings and the Great Start Readiness Program. Behind every one of those children is an opportunity to learn, grow and build a strong foundation for the future.

That is the power of Head Start, and we’re proud to be part of it.

What an exciting first day of the school year!

These are some photos from Monday at our Bay City Dolsen location, where parents were invited into the classrooms to learn more about what their children will experience throughout the year through Head Start.

We’re thankful for such a great start to the school year and look forward to all that’s ahead!
