It has been officially a week since we said goodbye to our 8th-grade students. We hope for the best for each one of them. May they become who God has called them to be and set the world on fire.

We will miss you!

We say goodbye to one of our priests, Father Aaron Scheidel, as he begins a new assignment. We are grateful for his presence in our classrooms and for the time he spent teaching our students about the importance of our Catholic faith. We will miss you!

Today marks 82 years since D-Day. In remembrance of the brave men and women who served and sacrificed for our freedom, our 7th grade students prayed a Rosary for our veterans and fallen heroes.

May we never forget their courage and sacrifice.

As we celebrate the last day of school for our 8th-grade class today, we also recognize an important milestone for our current 7th graders. Recently, our students participated in their Pinning Ceremony to commemorate their transition into 8th grade.

This special tradition symbolizes the beginning of their final year at SJVRS and the leadership role they will soon take on within our school community. We look forward to seeing our rising 8th graders continue to grow in faith, leadership, and Bulldog spirit!

Happy June! Our 1st grade class recently released the butterflies they raised right in their classroom! Over the past few weeks, students learned all about the butterfly life cycle and were able to watch the transformation from caterpillar to butterfly happen firsthand.

We also had our 3rd-grade students join us as special guests for the butterfly release! It was such a fun and memorable experience for our students and a great hands-on way to end the school year.

History came to life in our second-grade classrooms during this year’s Wax Museum project! Our students stepped into the shoes of influential figures and shared what they learned through creative presentations and costumes. From the courage of Ruby Bridges, to the compassion of Mother Teresa, to the determination of Amelia Earhart, each student did an amazing job showcasing the impact these individuals made on the world.

We are so proud of our second graders for their hard work and confidence, and we thank Mrs. Keba for guiding them through another wonderful learning experience!
