ABOUT ME:
My name is Dr. Jeffrey B. Cutchin and I reside in Wabash county, near Allendale, Illinois on a small farm. Born and raised in Carmi, my wife and I moved to the Allendale area upon graduating from college. Teaching has been a big part of my life as I have taught for over 30 years, both full and part-time, for universities and community colleges. I eventually moved into college administra

tion as Dean and Chief Academic officer for several years for Illinois Eastern Community Colleges before retiring. WHY I AM RUNNING:
With 30+ years of community college teaching as well as ten years of college administration, I feel I have much to offer IECC in their search for board trustees. I have the experience and the knowledge to help guide IECC into the future. I believe that our community colleges play a major role in addressing the educational needs of our community. From our high school graduates looking to transfer to a university to those graduates looking for a trade skill; for those looking towards a career change to those looking for a new skill or hobby. The community college offers something for everyone.

I highly recommend voting for Jeffrey Cutchin on April 6th. I have experienced his classroom teaching as well as his concern for higher education and IECC students first hand. he is the BEST person for the job!

In January 2005, I was fresh out of drug rehab and attending Frontier Community College in Fairfield. I was super nervous to pursue a college education due to my history until I met Mr. Jeff Cutchin, and he truly inspired me to keep pushing to be my best!

I was assigned to be his student worker, and I was so blessed to work alongside an instructor who not only cared for his students, but cared about Frontier Community College. He was a wonderful instructor. I took a few of his classes.

I was involved in SIFE (Students In Free Enterprise), which Mr. Cutchin was the club sponsor. In SIFE, we worked on a business plan and attended different events with other SIFE teams. Years later, I now own a small business, Integrity Volleyball.

Jeff doesn't know a stranger. He truly loves people and is always willing to lend a hand to help his fellow man. He never once judged me for where I came from, he only wanted to be a part of my personal and educational success. He was a very big part of my success, and I owe a lot to Jeff. He taught me a lot with computers, how to create a professional portfolio and encouraged me to work hard and become the best I could be.

Some of you may be wondering why I am running for the IECC Board of Trustees. The simple answer is that I care a lot about IECC and the district it serves.
I have over 30 years of experience teaching in community colleges, and I see how it benefits everyone.
