The National Art Honor Society made a mural that now hangs in Upper Eagles Nest. In the Spring of 2021, Grace Swenson noticed how students were talking much less due to the pandemic. She wanted to create something that would initiate social connection again within AHS.
Grace designed a four-panel mural that features AHS’s value of collaboration; each element of the piece intersects and overlaps in such a way that no panel can exist without the others.
“I am grateful for the 50 students who helped with painting and for Allen High School for teaching me the tantamount importance of academics and friendships,” Grace said.
We are so proud to have this piece and students like Grace and the NAHS members who foster their creative spirits at art at Allen High School.
