We are continuing to monitor the weather. At this time we are proceeding as planned. We will see our graduates at AHS drop-off between 5:30 and 6 tonight.
Hello class of 2022 and families. We are closely watching the forecast for this evening as there is the potential for some inclement weather during our graduation ceremony. We have considered many options to avoid any delays or disruptions to everyone's plans.

At this time, we plan to continue with graduation as scheduled at 7:30. We want to communicate with you now so you are fully aware of our plans should weather affect the schedule.

- We will follow UIL weather protocols regarding lightning safety. The ceremony will continue with light precipitation, however, should a lightning strike occur within 10 miles of Eagle Stadium we will shelter for 30 minutes. Graduates will be directed to shelter in the tunnels below the stadium and guests may shelter under the concourse or in their vehicles.

- If weather delays the ceremony, the latest start time for Friday night will be 9:30 p.m., including a mid-ceremony delay.
Should the need arise to move graduation to Saturday, we will look for a pocket of good weather beginning at 10:00 a.m. This would mean an 8:00 a.m. call for graduates.

- As we monitor the weather throughout the day, we will send updates through social media, email, the AHS website and the “Graduation 2022” app. The direct link to this group is: https://trst.in/OnH24R

The safety of our graduates and guests is our top priority. We appreciate the adaptability and understanding of our students and families as we work to create a meaningful celebration for the class of 2022.

Wow! Flight School and the Back 2 School Bash were both awesome and fun ways to welcome students back to AHS! We estimate 1300 sophomores attended Flight School to get introduced to the campus and nearly 3000 total AHS students attended the Back 2 School Bash!

Great job to student leaders for spearheading the pep rally and band and cheer for performing. After the pep rally students could pick up IDs and parking passes plus visit tons of club and organization booths around the school.

Shout out to PTSA for water donations! Thank you to our food trucks: Kona Ice, Boardwalk Bites and CUTX! Thanks to all of the teachers and staff for helping with all of the things!

If your student wasn’t able to attend the bash, IDs and parking passes will be available in the PAC commons between 10-12 and 1-3 on both Monday and Tuesday.

Go Eagles!
