They trained us to survive… but never taught us how to truly believe in ourselves.
How many of y’all are out here working 8–10 hour shifts, covering everybody else’s responsibilities, showing up early, staying late, solving problems, carrying the team on your back… yet still getting paid like you’re disposable?
Be honest.
Some of y’all are doing manager-level work without manager-level pay. Running stores without the title. Handling paperwork, leadership, customer service, conflict resolution, inventory, training employees… and still barely breaking $80-$100 a day after taxes.
Meanwhile the company profits off YOUR discipline.
YOUR creativity.
YOUR reliability.
YOUR energy.
That’s the part nobody talks about.
Entrepreneurs trapped in employee positions often become the “go-to” person because leadership recognizes power… but refuses to compensate it properly.
And one thing I had to realize: There was never a lack in me. There was only a system profiting from my overextension.
I got tired of inconsistent schedules.
Poor communication.
Managers delegating through coworkers instead of speaking directly.
Extra responsibilities with no promotion.
No raise.
No growth.
So I walked away.
No backup plan. Just faith in myself, my gifts, my creativity, and my ability to produce.
And do you know what happened?
This morning, a referred client came for a consultation fitting, tried on her dress, loved the vision, and dropped a $60 deposit in cash — all within less than 30 minutes.
Thirty minutes.
That same $60 would’ve taken me 6–7 hours at a job to make.
Read that again.
The moment you stop undervaluing yourself, the world starts responding differently to your energy.
Believe in thyself.
Know thyself.
Invest in thyself.
Because when you truly know who you are, you stop begging systems to validate gifts God already gave you.
You are not just labor.
You are a creator.
You are an asset.
You are a producer.
You are the “I AM” expressed through human potential.
Build accordingly.
