Can I get a list for school supplies for third grade
Thank you all for volunteering, whether it was riding or taking on a certain task it was very much appreciated. We couldn’t have done this without you! It was a blast and a great turnout! Leander ( Dairyland Donkey ) said that our school showed great support and he has not had that large of a crowd in months! Thanks to all the parents and DI team members that helped with 50/50 and Laser Form LLC, Piesler Family , Borths Family and Dairy Deans for silent auction items. Please pass this along to your DI parents (TMs) as I do not have everyone’s email. Hoping for continued success with the rest of the fundraisers coming up and Good luck to Superheros 3.0 as they go to Globals! Until next TIME 🤠

On February 4th we were at Pizza Ranch in Wausau. A group of your students stopped there on the way home from their ski trip. These young women and men were so well behaved that we barely knew they were there. They were courteous and very friendly. Your district and the parents of these students should be very proud of them. I know I didn't even know them but I was very impressed.

Today’s DI practice was about team building skills and learning new strategies with our 3rd graders. We played 7 different games and learned a few things too 😊

[09/18/20]   An Update From Algoma School District About The 2021 Season

September 18, 2020: Algoma School District will postpone DI until next school year. The nature of DI would make holding group practices, and facilitating teamwork in the way our students are accustomed to for DI difficult to accomplish while we are working to socially distance students to keep them safe.

Wisconsin Destination Imagination

With events and activities all across the state, the Wisconsin Science Festival could be the perfect field trip for teams looking to spark some new ideas.

There are events in nearby areas including Door County, Green Bay, Fond du Lac, etc.

Check some of them out if you can!

Hey Wisco DI-ers! Check out the 2019 Wisconsin Science Festival taking place all across Wisconsin October 17-20, 2019.

The festival is a statewide event that aims to:
- inspire and engage us in the enterprise of science and discovery;
- cultivate curiosity and communicate the power of knowledge and creativity to change our world view;
- promote innovation and to cultivate the next generation of global citizens.

Sounds right up our alley!

Events are held all across Wisconsin for people of all ages, including hands-on science exhibitions, demonstrations, performances, tours, pub nights, workshops and more.

Bullied Tennessee fan with homemade 'UT' shirt offered 4-year scholarship

For those of us who attended Global Finals on the UT campus in Knoxville, you will likely remember The Rock.

It has been painted with the logo created by a boy who drew it on a piece of paper and pinned it to his shirt to wear to school. He was made fun of for it and since then, his hand-drawn logo has taken on a life of its own. #iloveut #missingknoxville

uppermichiganssource.com The University of Tennessee has extended an offer of admission to the fourth-grader who designed his own UT T-shirt.

The 7 Most Important STEM Skills We Should Be Teaching Our Kids

Consider signing your child up for the 2019-20 season to see how DI can help teach, as well as develop these skills.

Problem-Solving
“What binds together the STEM movement is the notion of modern skills. Employers talk about problem-solving. Society requires problem-solving. Doing your taxes requires problem-solving. Those are the types of skills that really matter. A practicing engineer will tell you, ‘I didn’t use the calculus I learned to solve problems on paper, but the way it taught me to solve problems and to think about problems was really important.’”

—James Brown, executive director of the STEM Education Coalition in Washington, D.C., and a nuclear engineer by training

weareteachers.com We asked 7 leaders in STEM education what they think classroom teachers should focus on to prepare kids for jobs we haven’t even conceived of yet.
