The Alfred State Police Academy in conjunction with the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office conducted a DCJS Pistol Instructor Course. This is an intense two week course that prepares attendees to deliver fi****ms curriculum and instructional objectives which emphasize methods of instruction, fi****ms handling and evidence-based tactics designed to improve officer safety. The course combines lecture and practical exercises with a focus on operational safety, modern police fi****ms tactics and techniques, and proper instruction of fundamentals designed to give trainers the skills to develop and conduct fi****ms training.
