Graduates attended a 115 hour course in Police Supervision that included such topics as: Ethics, Various Roles of the Supervisor, Use of Force, Civil Liability, Community Policing, Critical Incident Management, Employee Assistance, Post Traumatic Incident Procedures, Contemporary Police Issues and others.

Excellent job!

Today, six local law enforcement professionals completed 2 weeks of intense physical training with Sheriff's Office DT Instructor and Corrections Officer Matt Tronetti (Center). These officers took the challenge of becoming Defensive Tactics Instructors for their home agencies and area law enforcement academies.

Attending (L to R) was Captain Joseph Histed from the SUNY Alfred State Police Department along with Undersheriff Walter Mackney, Corrections Officer Brent Schlafer, Corrections Officer Dave Stewart, Corrections Corporal Jessica Cady and Deputy Greg Robinson of the Allegany County Sheriff's Office.

Congrats to former cadet Officer Rosell!

Today the Allegany County STOP DWI program in conjunction with NYS STOP DWI recognized Alfred Police Officer, Alexandra Rosell as the “Top Cop” in Allegany County for DWI enforcement. Chief Joshua VanSkiver and Officer Rosell attended the County legislative meeting where Officer Rosell received the award. Congratulations to Officer Rosell, keep up the good work!!
