Happy Valentine’s Day 💗🇩🇪 Alles Liebe zum Valentinstag. We hope all of you had a beautiful day with your loved ones. Love ‘Liebe’ 😍 was in the air during our Valentine’s themed class today. The kids loved exchanging valentines, expended their German vocabulary, worked on their worksheets & crafts. Today is also International Book Giving Day, each student received a German Book 🇩🇪 📖 . We hope to spread the love of reading 📚

We are delighted to share the class schedules for our 🇩🇪 German language Play & Learn program for the☀️ Summer, 🍂 Fall, and 🎄 Holiday Mini Session in December. Registrations for all sessions are currently open and will be processed in the order received due to limited space and high demand. Thank you!

We hope you experienced a wonderful holiday season. Our Germany trip was highlighted by the enchanting 'Weihnachtsmarkt' Christmas Market, as shown in the included photos. I appreciate my family's efforts in making my long-held wish to revisit a Weihnachtsmarkt, 25 years later, a memorable experience.

We were delighted to welcome a special visitor to our class last Saturday. Nikolaus brought treats for our students, which was expected given their good behavior. Did he also visit your home and share some goodies with you? Here are some pictures of the class in action.

🚨 Don’t forget, tonight is “Nikolausabend” St. Nicholas’ evening. We love this 🇩🇪 German Tradition! December 6th is a very special day for children all over Germany. It marks the “Nikolaustag” (Day of St. Nicholas). On the evening of December 5th, children clean & place their boot or shoe outside their house door, hoping that Nikolaus will fill it with gifts, some fruit, candy & cookies.
Good and naughty children:
St. Nikolaus will fill your shoe with presents - if you've been good.
For naughty children, Nikolaus has a helper, Knecht Ruprecht. Instead of presents, Ruprecht puts a bunch of dry branches or coal in bad children's shoes. Kids in Germany love the Nikolaustag and it is often a big event in schools and kindergarten as well as on the Christmas markets.
