Our Opal students have been hard at work preparing for the upcoming Student Recitals on June 5–7! These lessons have been filled with growth, artistry, laughter, and so much beautiful music.

We are endlessly proud of the dedication and courage these students bring into the studio every week, and we can’t wait to celebrate everything they’ve accomplished on stage.

This weekend, Opal faculty are taking the stage across the DC arts scene! 🎶🌍

Today Alicia Woodberry will be performing in Mozart’s Idomeneo with Washington Concert Opera, a sweeping masterpiece filled with drama, passion, and stunning music. 🔱

Tomorrow, Opal teachers Molly Orlando, Elizabeth Hill, and Madalyn Navis will be performing in Beyond Earth: A Celestial Odyssey & Cosmic Cycles at Strathmore — a breathtaking multimedia concert experience inspired by space exploration and created in partnership with NASA. 🚀

Ages 8–12

A fun, weeklong camp for young singers of all experience levels! Campers will explore group singing, harmony, musical games, and collaborative music-making in a supportive environment.

Opal’s newest studio art project is officially underway—and it’s powered by music! Students choose a colored strip, complete the musical challenge on it, and add their piece to our growing wall of art.
From rhythm patterns in 3/4 and 4/4 to note value math and theory questions, every strip represents skills in action. As students solve, create, and contribute, the grid slowly fills with color—turning individual effort into one collaborative masterpiece.
It’s always amazing to watch the studio come together for these projects! Stop by the table today to test your theory skills and add to this incredible piece!

Join us June-August for weeks full of creativity, movement, and fun! Each week features a different theme with engaging activities in art, music, and yoga designed especially for our youngest artists.

Perfect for ages 3–6, our half-day camps run Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–12:00 PM—giving your child a joyful, enriching start to their day all summer long.
