💜 Purple Up! Day 💜
On Wednesday, we wore purple to honor and support our military-connected students—the ones who show strength, resilience, and courage every day. From frequent moves to having loved ones deployed, their journeys inspire us all.
Let’s take a moment to recognize their sacrifices and show our appreciation for the important role they and their families play in our community. 💜
We stand with you today and every day.

Our students are having an amazing time in STEAM Club! 🎉
This after-school opportunity, made possible through the Educate Fairfax Grant, is giving students the chance to explore, create, and problem-solve in new and exciting ways. From hands-on building challenges to creative design projects, students are actively using the design process—planning, testing, and improving their ideas.
Even more exciting is seeing our students grow in their Portrait of a Graduate skills—collaborating with peers, thinking critically, communicating their ideas, and showing resilience when things don’t go as planned.
We’re so proud of their curiosity, creativity, and teamwork!

Recently, third graders worked on their Portrait of a Graduate skills during a math lesson.
Students worked on being great collaborators by sharing materials and supporting one another, while also strengthening their communication skills. They had thoughtful discussions about making the best estimates of length using both standard and metric units.
Learning, teamwork, and problem-solving all in action!
