This page is for the Mercer County High School 21EAGLES Program (formally known as Soaring Eagles). We are an out-of-school time program offered to ALL MCHS students during the school year and in the Summer. 21Eagles is a 21st CCLC Grant.

MCHS Students & Parents- We will be taking a bus to Black Hawk College QC on Thursday, September 30th for COLLEGE NIGHT. Please sign-up in the counselor's office if you and your family would like to attend. Any questions- please ask!

[09/07/21]   This weeks programming looks a little different than originally planned due to MCHS releasing students at 12:00 all week.

21EAGLES Programming for tomorrow- Wednesday 09/08:

*English Homework Help 7:00-7:45AM w/ Mrs. Mehl RM 106- Ask questions on English assignments or have a quiet place to work on assignments before school starts.

*Math Lab 7:00-7:45AM w/ Mrs. Garrett RM 209- Get help with Math questions or have a quiet place to work on homework before school starts.

*STARBOOKS 7:00-7:45AM w/ Mrs. Reed RM 101- Grab a hot chocolate and talk all things books before getting the school day started. Great place to chat with other avid readers!

*Open Library 12:30-3:00PM w/ Mrs. Dunn in the HS Library- We have lots of games and crafting supplies if you want a space to go after lunch. Also a good time to get homework completed!

*Virtual STARBOOKS 6:00-7:00PM w/ Mrs. Reed- If interested in attending virtual STARBOOKS stop by Mrs. Reed’s Classroom or send her an email at [email protected].

[08/16/21]   Freshman Orientation & Welcome Back Night is TONIGHT! Freshman Orientation begins at 6:00pm for Freshman. Then at 7:00pm Welcome Back for the Sophomores- Seniors takes place.

Catch us at MCHS from 6-8pm! We will be providing SUBWAY sandwiches and school supplies for HS students at MCHS.
Let's start the 2021-2022 school year off right!

[08/04/21]   Mercer County High School In-Person School Registration for the 2021-2022 School Year is tomorrow- Thursday August 5th at the MC Intermediate School from 10am-6pm.

21EAGLES will have a table set-up with information & supplies so if you have any questions please stop by my table and I would be happy to chat!

Next Thursday 8/12 from 4-6 check out the Aledo Farmers Market in Central Park and the FREE food offering from the Mercer County Family Crisis Center to celebrate school starting up!

The Family Crisis Center staff and Board of Directors will be at the Farmer's Market at Aledo's Central Park on August 12 from 4 - 6 PM to help celebrate the beginning of the school year. Come see what we have for you!

Happy Birthday Andrea! Thanks for hanging out this Summer! Yesterday, we baked cakes and today we bowled. It was our last day for bowling this Summer. Special thanks to our Millenium Lanes in Aledo for allowing us to come in once a week to provide students this activity!

Yesterday we took a trip to Midwest Technical Institute in Moline, IL. We were able to tour the building and learn about the many different offerings in the technical field that's available to us right here in the Quad Cities!

21EAGLES YMCA programming time update!

We have moved our YMCA timeslot from the old meeting time of 9:30-12:30 to NOW we will be there 12:00-3:00pm on Mondays through July 19th (except July 5th-Holiday) . If you are enrolled in our 21EAGLES program it is FREE to use the YMCA during this time period even if you aren't a YMCA member. If you have not received enrollment forms please reach out to [email protected].
