UNM MSST is an interdisciplinary study created to give students academic training in museology. Some graduates may choose to pursue a Ph.D.

The Museum Studies Program is an interdisciplinary course of study designed to provide students with academic training in essential aspects of museology. The curriculum equips students with a range of museum skills and enables them to tailor learning to their career objectives. The Program offers several courses of study:
1) an undergraduate certificate
2) an undergraduate minor

We’re thrilled to announce that Dr. Alicia Romero has been selected as Head Curator and Curator of History at Albuquerque Museum!

Born and raised in Albuquerque, Dr. Romero brings both national curatorial and academic experience, as well as a local perspective, to her work. She’ll oversee one of the region’s most important collections of art, history, and photography, helping us bring the world to Albuquerque and Albuquerque to the world. 🌎

We’re excited for this next chapter.
