SANDIA FAMILY MATH NIGHT
Dear Hawthorne Families,

We are excited to invite you to our Sandia Math Night on Wednesday, May 13 from 6:00–7:00 PM in the cafeteria!

The activities are designed for parents and children to work together and engage in shared learning. Prompts at each station will be provided in both English and Spanish. Volunteers will be around the room welcoming families and encouraging everyone to try the stations.

Please enter through the gate by the cafeteria. Gates will open at 5:45 PM.

We hope to see you there for an evening of fun math activities and family learning!

One Book, One School

Thank you for an incredible school year! As we enter our final month, we are so proud of all the growth, learning, and success our students have shown. We truly appreciate your continued partnership in supporting your children and our school community.

Quality of Education Survey
Thank you to all families who completed the Quality of Education Survey. We had a very strong participation rate, and your feedback is extremely important to us. Results will be released soon, and we will use this information to reflect, improve, and continue growing as a school to better serve our students and families.

No Tardy Dragon Party
We will have our final No Tardy Dragon Party sometime in May. This will be the last celebration where our Attendance Team provides a treat and a card for students who arrive to school on time. Thank you for continuing to prioritize getting students to school every day and on time.

Attendance Party
Our final Attendance Party for the third trimester will take place on May 14 from 5:00–6:30 PM. Invitations will be sent to qualifying students. We look forward to celebrating strong attendance with our families.

Field Day Expectations
Field Day is one of our favorite end-of-year events. Participation in Field Day is a privilege that we want all students to enjoy. To ensure a safe and positive experience for everyone, participation will be based on behavior. Students are expected to continue following school rules and demonstrating safe, respectful, and responsible behavior through the end of the school year. Students who demonstrate major or repeated behavior concerns may not be permitted to attend Field Day. The school will alert families if their child is unable to participate.

School Reminder: No Junk Food
Please remember that students should not bring junk food, soda, large bags of chips, or candy to school. This also includes dropping off food for students during lunch. Thank you for helping us maintain a healthy learning environment for all students.

We encourage all students to continue reading over the summer and participate in district summer learning opportunities.
