On this spooky and magical day our wonderful Social Science and Special Education teachers took our students to visit The Institute for Medieval Studies 3rd Medieval Fair at the The University of New Mexico - UNM for fun games, history lessons, and medieval fencing lessons!

A very big shout out to our very own Ms. Barreto Baca for winning a $2,000 grant award from the US Eagle Federal Credit Union through the enrichEd Grant Program and the ARNIA Foundation. This grant will help her class conduct brain scan research with her students!

Happy October Truman Middle School community!
The City of Albuquerque Youth & Family Services is inviting our students, families, and staff to attend this year's 3rd annual Trunks & Treats event at the Westgate Community center this Saturday, October 25th, from 5pm to 8pm!
This is a family friendly event open to the whole community. We will have vendors, food trucks, games and of course themed and decorated trunks! Whether you are interested in providing a Trunk to give out candy, a vendor table to give out candy and information about your business or you simply want to donate some bags of candy, there are many ways you can support if you are interested. Let's show our community some support!

This past Friday, students from Ms. Barreto Baca and Ms. Thompson's 8th and 7th grade classes worked with Science Heads Inc. and Sandia National Labs to launch their own tracker balloon on festival grounds!
