Stephen Ausherman is a video artist who has participated in the Los Puentes Opera Project each year since 2010. His work has also been seen in venues including the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C.; Screengrab Festival in Townsville, Australia; the Jewish Culture & Information Center, Vilnius, Lithuania; and the International Symposium for Electronic Art in Albuquerque and Vancouver. He has served as the artist-in-residence for Bernheim Forest, Cape Cod National Seashore, Blue Sky Project, and Cornucopia Art Center. His books include Walking Albuquerque and 60 Hikes Within 60 Miles: Albuquerque. This year he will begin a master's program in Art Therapy and Counseling at Southwestern College in Santa Fe. Meet ALTO's newest Teaching Artist, Trey Pickett. Trey will be joining the Los Puentes Opera Project for YEAR 9!

Born on Turtle Island (USA) in Los Angeles California in the city of Altadena. "The new Hollywood", Albuquerque, New Mexico is where Trey now proudly calls home. Trey was the 2015 cultural ambassador for exchange and dance in New Zealand. He is of African, Cherokee, and French descent which Trey represents as an International choreographer, performer, and director/consultant.

Trey attended the University of New Mexico for his bachelor's in fine arts. He has been featured in films, television shows, music videos, live theatre and much more. Trey has been a representative for New Mexico at the American College Dance Festival, teaches/performs all over the states, and has also directed & owned his own competitive dance school for 3 years.

Trey now brings dance culture, healing art, community building, and inspiration to aspiring artists. His 19 years of dance experience consists of Hip Hop, African, Modern, Contemporary, partnering, Flamenco, Jazz, Stepping/body percussion, Ballroom, contact improvisation, and freestyle culture.

Trey has been a judge across many competitive fields of dance. He holds many honors, one of which is being the first black male principal dancer with The New Mexico Ballet Company, meanwhile bridging urban/hip hop artists throughout high art scenes. Trey is a catalyst for creating positive change around the world sharing his heart and his stories with performance arts as his vehicle. Trey truly believes in building a bridge to the universal soul of human kind. He is about connecting the drum of our hearts back to our life practices, so that we may Joyfully heal our Mother Earth. Dance is an expression of the people so it is paramount that it be shared with the global community.

One more straitjacket backdrop, this time without Riley's ink overlay. Keep in mind that each take was ~30 seconds in real time, which is no easy task. Called for four in a row, they stood up to the challenge like the best of the LPOP performers.
