🌳AKCS has made the decision to return to class Monday, March 1st! 🌳

We know there are so many emotions with the return to school. We think most are of great excitement to see one another again.

The AKCS foundation wants each teacher and student to feel 100% supported through this transition.

So far the foundation has raised $2,772 to support teachers in choosing the best safety and educational equipment for return to school. This translates to approximately $100 per teacher.

AKCS is known to provide an outstanding education through the flexibility of the staff. That being said, we know each and every classroom has unique needs in feeling supported right now.

Please consider donating what you are able, so we can allow our teachers to create a magical experience for students through this complicated time.

Today for Giving Tuesday Facebook is matching all donations through its platform.

The Foundation was formed to provide funding and other means of support to AKCS, to provide a school where students thrive academically and socially through a strong educational program based upon a structured curriculum supported by discipline and mutual respect.

The initial and continuing focus of the Foundations is to support the educational pursuits of students by providing funding for programming, facility enhancements, and supplemental facility resources. Realizing that Alice King Community School and its families benefit from participation in the greater community the Foundation also endeavors to provide opportunities to enrich the quality of life in the surrounding region.
