At the end of May, the Casa Angelica Student League added a new event to its roster. We cheered on the New Mexico Special Olympians at the Opening Ceremonies! CASL had a strong contingent of students, alumni, and parents attend, along with CASL members and families from other schools. It was great to see all the smiles as the athletes marched in to our cheers, noise makers, and posters. Chesterton Academy’s House System is drawn from the thousand year old tradition of Christian education exemplified in the colleges at Oxford and Cambridge. The Houses provide a real, tangible community within the larger school, giving students opportunities to take ownership, answer the call to leadership, and cultivate virtue through friendship and competition.

Throughout the year, the Houses compete for the White Horse Cup, awarded annually to the House with the most points at the end of the school year. Each year, the winning House’s name is engraved on the White Horse Cup as a record for posterity.

Yesterday, we celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2026! We are proud of these young men and women formed in truth, goodness, and beauty. Through years of study, prayer, friendship, and virtue, they have grown not only in knowledge but in wisdom and faith.

As they go forth from Chesterton Academy, we pray they continue to seek Christ in all things and courageously live out their vocation in the world.

Last night, our juniors and seniors delivered a beautiful performance of "Come Rack! Come Rope!" by Dale Ahlquist. It was a wonderful evening. This drama brings to life the courage and faith of Catholics during the persecution of priests in Elizabethan England.
