We're excited to announce the 2nd module of IEL's Collaborative Leadership Micro-credential Course: Consensus Building and Decision-Making, taking place February 12th - April 23rd.
Deepen your leadership practice with IEL’s 10-week Micro-credential experiences, designed for school and district leaders committed to sustainable, collaborative transformation.
These job-embedded learning opportunities provide individualized coaching, a close-knit peer cohort (8–10 participants), and a practical toolkit to guide real-time application of new skills and strategies. Participants engage in small-scale, meaningful leadership practices that can be scaled across their school communities.
Grounded in the principles of collaborative leadership and aligned with the Community School strategy, each micro-credential supports leaders in navigating complex challenges while building capacity for shared decision-making and lasting change.

Exciting news for Del Norte High School! Local trade union UA 412 is expanding into the school, opening up new hands-on career pathways for students right here in Albuquerque.
This program first launched last year at West Mesa High School and is now growing to Del Norte as part of the community school strategy—bringing schools, partners, and students together to strengthen communities.
The expansion is made possible through Youth Civic Infrastructure (YCI) funding from Future Focused Education which supports partnerships between schools and nonprofits so students can learn by tackling real-world challenges. YCI helps young people grow their skills, deepen their sense of belonging, and lead positive change in their communities.
Big thanks to Joy Garratt 4 New Mexico and Bernalillo County NM Commissioner Barbara Baca and all partners who made this possible. Opportunities like these show how community schools can anchor thriving neighborhoods. So glad to see our students gaining more pathways to success!
