At Radicle Earth, our work is grounded in the belief that sustainability starts from within and that when we tend to our inner roots, we can create lasting change for the world around us.

Have you ever noticed how one small interaction, change, or moment can ripple outward in ways you never expected? That’s Ecological Systems Theory in action. Developed by psychologist Urie Bronfenbrenner, it’s a framework that helps us understand how every individual exists within multiple, overlapping systems, from the personal to the global.

At the microsystem level is our families, friends, and the daily environments that shape how we think and act. The mesosystem connects those spaces, our home influencing our work, our community shaping our perspective. The exosystem includes the policies and infrastructures that impact us directly and indirectly, while the macrosystem represents our cultures, economies, and shared worldviews. And surrounding it all is the chronosystem is time itself an all the environemtnal changes that occur over a lifetime, reminding us that the only constant is change.

When we begin to examine ourselves this way, as part of living, interdependent systems, we can more clearly see how we are influenced by these systems and in turn can influence them.

At Radicle Earth this perspective shapes everything we do. Whether guiding organizations through transitions or helping individuals grow resilient practices, our goal is to make these overlapping systems tangible so we can design with holistic intentions.

“When one tugs at a single thing in nature, they find it attached to the rest of the world.” — John Muir

Every action, choice, and conversation connects our living system. Simultaneously, they are influencing and being influenced in return. Ecological Systems Theory helps us see these invisible threads: how our closest relationships, communities, and even global forces shape who we are.

Today, pause for a moment and notice one system you’re part of: family, ecosystem, workplace, community. Because this week, we’re exploring what it means to see yourself in a system. This is at the heart of our services because creating sustainable change starts with growing the awareness of how deeply connected everything already is.

Building Radicle Earth has been a slow process. Learning how to grow while coping with personal adversity and desperately trying to stay rooted, and trust the unseen work beneath the surface.

In my original video on YouTube, I shared the conviction. I made it to myself to do everything that I could to learn about sustainability so that I could teach it. That conviction was an anchor that guided me through challenge and paradigm shift after paradigm shift. Growth doesn’t always look glamorous, but when nurtured by conviction it certainly affirms a life intentionally lived.

Radicle Earth began as both a personal and professional response to the rampant disconnection from earth, from community, and from ourselves. We need opportunities to reforge these connections, and simultaneously, the nature of nature is that we are all connected. So, our aim is to bridge awareness to the intrinsic resilience within and around us.

In the plant kingdom, roots do more than anchor; they exchange nutrients, stabilize the soil, and create networks that sustain life. For us, rooted resilience means creating reciprocal systems, personal and organizational, that do the same.

That’s what Radicle Earth is all about: learning to grow resilience into every layer of how we live and lead. We do this by helping people and organizations reconnect with their authenticity and sense of place through the application of Ecological Systems Theory (EST). This model supports seeing the nested systems in which people and organizations are a part to witness patterns, relationships, and feedback loops that shape the world around them.
We transform sustainability from theory into practice, weaving it into culture, leadership, and daily decisions. Because greater resilience is cultivated through reflection, design, and action.

Each week, we’ll share content that builds upon itself like a mini-lesson in sustainability. Together, we’ll explore ideas that move us from awareness to action, one small root at a time.
Because sustainability isn’t a checklist, it’s a learning process. And when we approach it as a living system, we discover that change can be both practical and deeply human.

We’d love to know: What does resilience mean to you, in your life or your work?

Radicle Earth began as one small seed, the question: How can we create sustainable action?

Each week, we'll share content that builds like a micro lesson. This provides an opportunity to explore in-depth complex concepts, systems, and solutions one at a time. These aren’t random posts; they’re designed to build upon themselves daily like steps in a learning journey intended to deepen our understanding of what sustainable living means, collectively and individually.

Why? Because sustainability isn’t learned in a single moment it’s cultivated through reflection, practice, and connection. And because our lives depend on it. Humans won’t have space on this wonderful planet if we don’t create actionable, informed steps to sustain ourselves here.

This week, I’m reflecting on the roots that shaped Radicle Earth because you deserve to know the why and how of our services.

I invite you to grow with us. Be sure to follow to gain this knowledge and to stay up to date with our services. Ready to grow now? Check out our website, radicle-earth.com, to find our consulting packages and workshop facilitation.

Our work in Albuquerque and the East Mountains takes place on lands that have been cared for by Native communities for generations, long before colonization, and will continue to be cared for long into the future. Today and every day, Radicle Earth honors the Indigenous peoples whose lands we live and work on, including the Tiwa Pueblos of Isleta and Sandia, as well as nearby Santa Ana, San Felipe, Kewa (Santo Domingo), and Cochiti Pueblos, the Jicarilla and Mescalero Apache Tribes, and the Diné (Navajo Nation).

We recognize that true sustainability begins with justice and that Indigenous sovereignty and land stewardship are essential to ecological balance. The Land Back movement calls for the return of land to Indigenous stewardship as a means of healing the planet, restoring ecosystems, and rectifying the harms of colonization.

We encourage learning from and supporting Indigenous-led initiatives that are leading the way toward a more equitable and sustainable future.

We honor the ongoing presence, leadership, and resistance of Indigenous peoples in New Mexico and across Turtle Island. May our work always reflect gratitude, respect, and reciprocity.

The systems we live in, our homes, our work, our communities, either support our growth or deplete us. When we begin to question if the ecosystems we are a part of. We rediscover something powerful: the wisdom of ecological systems doesn’t just belong to the natural world “out there.” It is an intrinsic part of us; it’s our authenticity and a radical trust in the way we grow, adapt, and thrive.
That’s why I created Radicle Earth. This work is about helping people and organizations root deeper, grow stronger, and create opportunities that honor both the planet and people. Through coaching, consulting, and workshop facilitation, I guide individuals and teams to uncover hidden patterns, reset their ecosystems, and take steps toward authentic resilience. Whether it’s a one-on-one session, a facilitated group workshop, or a long-term coaching journey, the goal is the same: rooting into authentic resilience.
