A few of our Band League bands performed for Third Thursday: Focus on Youth at the Albuquerque Museum! Thank you Abq Museum for having us and Mayor Tim Keller for sticking around to hear the bands play! Bands Checkmate, Myriad, Outlet and Honeydew and the Beakers rocked the night ‼️🎸

Congrats to our May Student of the Month, Rowan Mortensen!

This adventurous and optimistic drum student loves learning new patterns on the drum. His enthusiasm for lessons is off the charts. Says his teacher, Sharon: "Rowan is excited about learning to play drums! He is eager to learn. Whenever he gets a rhythm or groove, I see his excitement which is the best reaction a teacher can receive!”

When he is not drumming, you will most likely find him building model rockets at home. He also takes gymnastics, is learning photography, and enjoys mountain biking. How lucky we are to have him as part of our Rock 101 community!

The students started working on their logos at the start of the season. The process began by considering the characteristics of their bands. Who are they? How do they want to be seen? What qualities do they want to portray? The logos came together after several conversations and intentional work. Which logo hits you the hardest??
