Calling all incoming kindergarten families! We need your help! Please submit your registration for your incoming kindergartner as soon as possible. We’d love to accept completed packets (with birth certificates and proofs of address) as quickly as possible to ensure we have teachers hired and ready to go. Ask your neighbors if they’ve registered, let your friends know we have space for just a few more transfers, and remind your buddies that we have THE BEST kindergarten and primary teachers around (seriously— our kinder, first, and second grade growth is really, really, ridiculously good-looking)!

Our office reopens next Thursday, and we’d love to process a huge batch of kindergarten registration packets then!

(Also, we have a little more space in first and second grade if you have friends looking for a change)

If you have students across levels, we recommend joining the middle school session, but families are also welcome to choose the night that works best for their needs.

Encouraging news for early literacy in APS! 📚✨

Midyear data shows strong gains in reading proficiency among first and second-grade students, especially within historically underserved student groups. Several elementary schools saw increases of more than 20 percentage points since the start of the school year, a testament to the hard work of students, educators and families across our district.
