BREAKING NEWS: The cause for sainthood for Servant of God Sister Blandina Segale, "The Fastest Nun in the West," has taken a significant step forward!

In a unanimous vote on May 28th, Vatican Theologians approved advancing her Cause of Beatification and Canonization toward the next stage: "Venerable". As Allen Sánchez, Petitioner for the Cause, shared, the vote is a "testament to the undeniable heroic virtue of her life".

Servant of God Sister Blandina's inspiring legacy continues to resonate today. She was known for:
-Disarming lynch mobs in the Old West.
-Establishing schools and hospitals in New Mexico.
-Befriending outlaws like Billy the Kid.

Her spirituality was rooted in her profound daily mission: "Daily Discerning Who are the Vulnerable and What Do They Need From Me". We are proud that her life's work laid the foundation for institutions like CommonSpirit St. Joseph’s Children.
