While hundreds of Students begin their exchange journey tomorrow. Approximately 100 students are still waiting for their dream to come true.

Hi Friends! Have you been considering hosting an exchange student and would like more information? My friend C. Beverley Thomas is hosting a couple of virtual information sessions. Please accept this as an invitation to join the EF High School Exchange Year meeting.
I'll be joined by an EF office-based staff member, a couple of other IECs, and a host parent. You can expect it to be about 15 minutes of organized content, then we can stay on after to answer any questions that come up! It will be exciting to share our experiences with you.

Spring Semester students are gearing up to come and we are looking for host families

Meet Jasper from Taiwan!

Jasper is a motivated young man who is so excited to meet his host family!

Interests/fun facts:
🏓 Love table tennis/ping-pong!
🏀 Plays basketball
🏕️ 🎣 Loves the outdoors: camping, fishing, water sports and more! Has been to Yellowstone and was truly amazed!
⛷️ Has been skiing since he was 7!
👵👴 Has a younger brother and sister and enjoys a weekly meal with his grandparents!

Meet Lily from France

She’s allergic to guinea pigs, but she loves cuddling up with her 2 cats 🐈🐈, 1 rabbit 🐇and 3 turtles 🐢🐢🐢 (not sure how cuddly those turtles are actually)

Lily has been dancing 💃since she was 11 years old and she loves this activity to help put her in a positive mindset. She also likes cooking, 👩‍🍳 art and water activities like paddle boarding and diving 🤿🏄‍♀️.

She wants you to know this about her personality and habits:
I am always in a good mood. I am funny. I love painting, dancing, speaking with my family and friends, going to a restaurant, cooking with my mum, playing cards or society games, visiting natural land or museums. I need to feel good a dynamic, warm and considerate family atmosphere.

Andrea describes himself as adaptable, ambitious, competitive, curious, funny, and open-minded. He used to play soccer on a team, but quit to focus more on school. He would LOVE to play soccer again in the US if possible!

Quick facts: 16 years old / German and French citizenship (speaks both languages fluently) and Indian culture / 8 oral skill
Interests:
🎨 Creative! Drawing, writing (for the school newspaper) sewing (refashioning clothes found in thrift stores) and dancing (Bollywood!)
🎾 Active! Swimmer/diver, skiing, tennis, even roller skating!
🏫 Academically minded! Has an A-grade average, member of the Debate club and class representative! She has an outstanding letter of recommendation from her German teacher.
Considerations: Doesn't eat pork and is allergic to cats and dogs.
Highlights from Zaara's application:
🌟 What types of activities would you like to do with your host family? I am open to everything, I'd like to try activities I normally wouldn't have the opportunity to do in Germany. For exemple I'd really like to try camping, canyoning, or go on road trips. All in all, I'd like to try things that my host family likes to do.
🌟What do you hope to achieve after your exchange? I hope to be fluent in english and to have grown as a person, a daughter and a friend. I hope to gain more knowledge of foreign cultures and strengthen my international relationships. I hope to get to know myself better during that year.
🌟 Please describe any awards you have received, or any achievements that you are proud of. I got medals in ski (I was only 3) and rollerskating and have done High diving in swimming pools. I also have all swim badges until gold (included). I am proud of my achievements at school and my numerous dance performances.
