Today we attended the July DCM/Region 9 Olympics along with divisions 26n, 26s, and 8! There were fun icebreakers and a superhero themed scavenger hunt 😃 If you're an underclass-men and couldn't attend this time, I would recommend going next year!

Whoaa three awards this month?? Albany was named Club of the Month today at the June DCM, Bill, one of our Kiwanis advisors, was named Advisor of the Month, and Sarah, our Vice President, was named Officer of the Month! Congratulations! We had lots of fun at the DCM today. We played games and ate some BBQ! Thank you to everyone who attended!

Hey kiwis! 💚💚 This is the first ever article for the reboot of the Humans of Albany Key Club! Let's meet Anne Wong, shall we?

Q: Who has been your biggest inspiration in your key club journey so far?

A: The Key Club leadership is constantly inspiring me to do a better job with my own Leadership organization. If one person in particular, (I love you all), it would most likely be Alyssa because her behind the scenes work was definitely silent but had a significant impact on Key Club last year. All the leadership members have their own unique talents and strengths which makes the core strong and thus holds up to rest of the club with that strength (in numbers!)!

Q: What has been your favorite event? Is there anything you're looking forward to, specifically?

A: I LOVEEE working with little kids which is why having the Preschool Fair and July 4th Celebration of last year as my favorite events does not surprise me in the least bit. Seeing that July 4th is just around the corner, I'm certainly looking forward to that!

Q: Tell us a random fact! 😛

A: I used to photoshop and edit photos a ton. Now I'm lazy.

Now that you know a little bit more about Anne, don't be shy, hang out with her at meetings and events! She's super friendly!

A chill volunteering event where creativity was at its finest. :)
After setting up poetry stations at the community center, we got to relax and try them all for ourselves!

Thank you to everyone who came! It was so much fun, the food was great, and we had amazing energy! We're all so sad that this was Meiling's last DCM as LTG, and we'll miss her so much. So excited to see everyone at April's DCM, April 22nd at Studio One in Oakland, Angela's first DCM!
