🎒 Back-to-School Reminder: Uniform Expectations by Grade! 📚

As we prepare for an amazing school year at KIPP Albany Community Charter Middle School, please take a moment to review your scholar's grade-level uniform requirements before the first day of school.

👕 6th Grade: Red Polo
👕 7th Grade: Gray Polo
👕 8th Grade: Black Polo

✔️ Black uniform khaki pants or skirts
✔️ Sneakers or tennis shoes are permitted
✔️ Sweaters, cardigans, sweatshirts, or vests must match your scholar's grade-level color and must be worn over the collared polo
✔️ Black belts are required if pants have belt loops

❌ No hoodies or hooded sweatshirts
❌ No jeans, leggings, jeggings, joggers, sweatpants, or 5-pocket pants
❌ No hats inside the building

🎒 KACCSM CLEAR BACKPACK POLICY 🎒

Starting September 8, 2026, KIPP Albany Community Charter Middle School will implement a Clear Backpack Policy to support a safe and secure learning environment for all students.
✔️ All students must use a clear, transparent backpack
✔️ Backpacks must be made of plastic or vinyl
✔️ Contents must be visible at all times

🚫 Not Allowed:
• Mesh backpacks
• Tinted or colored backpacks
• Backpacks with large graphics that block visibility

A few days ago, our KIPPsters at KIPP Albany Community Elementary enjoyed an unforgettable Fun Day!

From bouncing in the inflatables and playing games with friends to cooling off with ice cream, the day was filled with laughter, excitement, and plenty of smiles. It was the perfect way to celebrate a year of hard work, growth, and achievement.

Movement is an important part of a healthy lifestyle. Whether it's a walk around the neighborhood, a game with friends, or time at the playground, we encourage our KIPPsters to stay active and have fun this summer! ☀️

We are so excited for a day filled with games, teamwork, school spirit, and lots of fun! 🖤❤️

A few quick reminders as we get ready for tomorrow:
🚨 Field Day is a closed event for KACCSE scholars only.

👕 Field Day Shirts:
Each scholar will receive a Field Day shirt tomorrow in their assigned team color (Red ❤️, Green 💚, or Blue 💙) to wear during the event.

👟 Field Day Dress Code:
Scholars should wear school-appropriate athletic clothing, including:
✅ Basketball shorts, sweatpants, workout leggings
❌ No biker shorts
❌ No denim shorts
✅ Sneakers that are comfortable and can get dirty or wet
✅ Labeled water bottle (please send one with your scholar if they have one!) 💧

🌤️ The weather is looking a little overcast, but warm at around 86°, so we want all scholars to stay cool and hydrated throughout the day!
⚠️ Scholars not in dress code may be asked to call home for appropriate clothing. We recommend bringing a school uniform just in case.
We can't wait to watch our scholars show teamwork, sportsmanship, and make amazing Field Day memories! 🎯🏅✨

📚✨ NYS Math Test is Almost Here! ✨📚
Our scholars are getting ready to show what they know on the NYS Math Assessment this Wednesday and Thursday! 🧠➕➖
Help your child feel confident and prepared:
✔️ Get a good night's rest
✔️ Eat a healthy breakfast
✔️ Arrive on time – testing begins promptly, and there is no admittance after 9:00 AM
This is a great opportunity for students to demonstrate their growth and hard work throughout the year. Let's cheer them on and set them up for success! 💪🎉
