2025 doula year in review!
This year felt like a huge seed planting year for me, a year in transition in many ways.
A few big things:
I started working part time as a hospital doula at Burdett Birth Center in the Spring with a team of professionals that truly inspire me everyday. In this role, I'm able to support families who don't have access to doula support or birth education as well as aid the staff in their effort to bring comprehensive, holistic birth and postpartum care to families in the capital region.
I started volunteering for Community Hospice and continued building my EOL doula experience, and in doing so, connected with some amazing deathworkers to start the . More things to come in 2026 there!

I worked with 28 families in their birth journeys this year as their doula and taught 58 couples how to have easier births through the Spinning Babies Birth Prep workshop . It's been 4 years since I joined the spinning Babies family and I can't wait to continue bringing this vital education to the Capital Region next year!

This year taught me to follow my joy and align myself with people who see me and support me and with opportunities that light me up and speak to my soul. I learned it's ok to rest, and say no, and to honor my energy. I deepened my understanding of this wild work in so many ways. I'm so grateful as always to be given the trust to do it. And forever in awe of the strength I get to bear witness to. Happy New Year!

I was at a beautiful birth overnight, baby was born 3:08am. Now a full belly and a nap at my parents house in front of the fire, my family chatting softly in the background. I'm really thankful this work chose me.
