Meet our faculty for this year's EXCEL Summit for campus-based professionals: Christopher Jefferson, Dr. Kim Monteaux De Freitas , and Dan Wrona.

Christopher Jefferson serves as director for the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life at the University of Missouri-Columbia as well as a member of RISE Partnerships, LLC. He has more than 17 years of professional experience working with various fraternity/sorority communities including: Pennsylvania State University, Indiana State University, North Carolina State University, Old Dominion University, and George Mason University.

Dr. Kim Monteaux De Freitas (she/her/hers) serves as the Director of Sorority and Fraternity Life at The Ohio State University, where she provides strategic leadership for the sorority and fraternity community and oversees its overall direction. Over the past twenty years, Kim has held a variety of volunteer roles with the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors (AFA), NASPA, and several other organizations, including her own fraternity, Phi Sigma Sigma.

Dan Wrona is the CEO & Project Leader of RISE Partnerships, where he has worked with more than 300 campuses and 30 organizations over the past 25 years. He has also served as a university administrator, a national fraternity staff member, and as a consultant on NIC staff.

Check out this upcoming Annual Meeting Reload session!

Join RISE team member Chris Jefferson, Abby Howard, and Dra. Viancca Williams on March 31 from 1 - 2 p.m. Eastern for their 2026 Annual Meeting Reload session: "Centering Psychological Safety for Team Performance & Staff Retention."

This session will integrate findings from Dra. Viancca Williams research in persistence among fraternity/sorority professionals, as well as excerpts from Amy C. Edmond’s (2018) book, “The Fearless Organization: Creating Psychological Safety in the Workplace for Learning, Innovation, and Growth.” The presentation team will discuss how they applied these principles into leading teams as well as lead participants in developing strategies to integrate these principles into their teams.

Can't make the live session? No problem. On-demand access will also be provided for six months after the session.

Whether you’re a department of one or leading a large team, EXCEL equips you with the tools to move from managing the day-to-day to leading with vision.
