Training the Trainers: Batch 3 of the ILO KAB Program Kicked Off!

We are thrilled to share updates from the 3rd batch of the 9-day Training of Master Trainers (ToMT) on Entrepreneurship Development under the GIZ TVET Sector Support Programme.

This batch highlights the powerful, hands-on training being delivered live in Islamabad by our renowned experts:

Their combined expertise is providing our 25 TVET professionals with cutting-edge instructional methodologies to champion entrepreneurship.

Implemented in collaboration with Sara Learning Global, this impactful initiative is proudly funded by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

We are well on our track to achieving our target of transforming 75 Master Trainers and then 500 migrant returnees and disadvantage group as catalysts of economic growth and prosperity!

Successful MoU Signing Ceremony held at the Hazara University.

This collaboration between Sara Learning Global and Hazara University enables both organizations to conduct applied research through consortium partners for local and international projects in the thematic areas of agribusiness, natural sciences, social sciences, and biological sciences. The partnership will also support competency-based, job-oriented training aligned with global skills standards, certification, employment facilitation, industrial demand, and workforce development.

The MoU was signed by Prof. Dr. Ikramullah Khan and Dr. Akbar Abbas Bangash in the presence of the faculty of Hazara University and participants of the 2nd Batch of Trade-Based Training.

The ceremony also marked the successful completion of the 2nd Batch of the Trade-Based Capacity Building of TVET Trainers in the Agribusiness Sector, held in the natural environment of beautiful Hazara University.

Sara Learning Global proudly showcased the successful completion of the 5-Day Training of Trainers on Crop Protection Technician Level 3. The training provided hands-on practical exposure to 25 Master Trainers from the Hazara region on NVQF, green skills, sustainable agricultural practices, climate-smart farming approaches, and environmentally responsible crop protection techniques.

Upon successful completion, a grand certification ceremony was also held with the participation of Prof. Dr. Ikramullah Khan, Dr. Akbar Abbas Bangash, Zunnair Hashmi, and Dr. Nadia Jameel. Participants were awarded the prestigious certificate of National Master Trainer in Crop Protection Level 3.

This training is implemented by Sara Learning Global in partnership with Human Development Nepal Consulting Group on behalf of GIZ TVET Sector Support Programme Pakistan, co-funded by the European Union and the Germany.

The 2nd Batch of the Crop Protection Technician Level-3 Training, under the Trade-Based Capacity Building of TVET Trainers in the Agri-Business Sector, successfully commenced on May 18, 2026 at the University of Hazara, Mansehra. A total of 25 trainees are participating in this intensive program.

The formal opening ceremony was graced by the Chairman of the Department of Agriculture, Dr. Sajid, along with Master Trainer Dr. Nadia Jabeen and Mr. Zunnair Hashmi from SLG.

The opening day featured an introduction to crop protection led by Dr. Nadia Jabeen, followed by a session on NVQF and Competency-Based Training & Assessment (CBT&A) conducted by Dr. Akbar Abbas Bangash.

This program is implemented by Sara Learning Global, USA, in partnership with Human Development Nepal Consulting Group (HDNCG) on behalf of the GIZ TVET Sector Support Programme Pakistan, co-funded by the European Union and the Federal Republic of Germany.

The training brought together and provided hands-on practical exposure to 25 Master Trainers from the Hazara region on NVQF, green skills, sustainable agricultural practices, climate-smart farming approaches, and environmentally responsible crop protection techniques.

The participants were awarded the prestigious certificate of National Master Trainer in Crop Protection Level 3.

🌱 Hands-On Learning in Action: Crop Protection Technician Training – Day 3

On 13 May 2026, the third day of the Level-3 Trade-Based Capacity Development for TVET Trainers under the Agri-Business Sector Project was successfully conducted at Mehansara.

Participants visited the Baffa Agricultural Research Center, gaining practical exposure to conventional and non-conventional crop protection methods. The trainees explored research and demonstration fields, observing wheat, maize, rice, lactose, peach orchards, and diverse crop protection techniques.

Guided by research experts, the participants learned about modern pest management, disease control strategies, and environmentally friendly crop protection solutions. The session offered invaluable hands-on experience, connecting theoretical knowledge with ongoing agricultural research and sustainable farming practices.

Successful Completion of the 1st Batch: 9-Day Training of Master Trainers on Entrepreneurship Using the ILO KAB Methodology

Sara Learning Global proudly showcased the successful completion of the 1st Batch of the 9-day Training of Master Trainers (ToMT) on Entrepreneurship Development using the International Labour Organization (ILO) Know About Business (KAB) Approach.

The training brought together 25 Master Trainers from the TVETAs of Punjab, KPK and GB TVET Directorate, who will further use the ILO KAB Methodology for the cascade model.

Upon successful completion, the participants were awarded the prestigious certificate of National Master Trainer in Entrepreneurship (ILO KAB Approach) by the international certified trainer Dr. Nidal Fahmi Ayesh, national trainer Dr. Naeem Akhtar and the COO of SLG Dr. Akbar Abbas Bangash.

The programme was led and implemented by Sara Learning Global under the GIZ TVET Sector Support Programme co-funded by EU and BMZ.

🌱 Inauguration of Trade-Based Capacity Building for TVET Trainers in Agriculture Sector

The inauguration ceremony for the Trade-Based Capacity Building of TVET Trainers in the Agriculture Sector under the GIZ TVET Sector Support Program was successfully held at Hazara University, Mansehra.

The first day “Crop Protection Technician Level-3” training commenced with 25 trainees in the first batch.

This program is part of the broader assignment on Trade-Based Capacity Building of TVET Trainers in the Agribusiness Sector, implemented by Sara Learning Global, USA, in partnership with Human Development Nepal Consulting Group Pvt. Ltd., and co-funded by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The initiative aims for upscaling and rescaling of 400 TVET teachers in green and market-relevant agribusiness skills, focusing on practical trade-based training in Punjab, KPK, and Baluchistan.

The formal opening ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Inamullah (Dean, Faculty of Agriculture Sciences), Dr. Sajid (Head, Agriculture Department), distinguished participants, and key representatives from partner organizations, including Dr. Akbar Abbas Bangash (COO, SLG), Dr. Qaiser Server Khan (GIZ), and Dr. Saad Baloch (National Project Coordinator).

The opening day featured the introduction of LMS to integrate the essence of digitilization and blended learning by conducting pre-assessment activities, introduction to NVQF, CBT&A, and introduction of crop protection followed by the module assessment.

Sara Learning Global is pleased to share that the Training of Trainers on Crop Protection Technician Level 3 will begin on May 11, 2026, at Hazara University, Mansehra.

This training is part of the Trade Based Capacity Building of TVET Trainers - Agribusiness Sector project, which focuses on supporting TVET teachers with the knowledge, practical skills, and training tools they need to deliver quality, industry-relevant education. The first batch will be conducted from May 11–15, 2026, followed by the second batch from May 18–22, 2026, both at Hazara University, Mansehra, focusing on Crop Protection Technician Level 3.

Through this initiative, Sara Learning Global aims to contribute to a stronger agribusiness sector by helping trainers build the capacity to prepare skilled learners for real industry needs.

The event brought together 25 Master Trainers (MTs) from the TVET sector across Pakistan, marking an important step towards strengthening entrepreneurship education and capacity building nationwide.

This initiative is being implemented under the TVET Sector Support Programme, in collaboration with Sara Learning Global, and is funded by the European Union and German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), Germany.

We were honored to have Mr. Rizwan Rounaq, Director Accreditation & Certification at National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC), as the Chief Guest.

The ceremony also featured insightful remarks from distinguished speakers including Syed Nazar Ali (SLG), Mr. Hammad Hassan (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit), and Dr Akbar Bangash, COO of Sara Learning Global.

The training is being led by renowned experts Dr. Nidal Ayesh from Palestine and Dr. Muhammad Naeem Akhter from Pakistan, bringing extensive international and local expertise to the programme.

Under this project, Sara Learning Global aims to train a total of 75 Master Trainers and 500 trainees, contributing significantly to entrepreneurship development and sustainable skills enhancement in Pakistan.
