Congratulations to Metro Maller Alumnae Craig Peterson on a fantastic season kicking for the Albany Empire, and being a key component of Albany's 2021 National Arena League Championship!!

It is Time for a Show of Support!

Open letter & invitation to all members of the Albany Metro Mallers, Albany Firebirds, Albany Conquest, Albany Empire, Troy Fighting Irish, Tri-City Spartans families and the entire Capital District Football Alumnae!

So far in 2018, there have been 13 homicides in the City of Albany. 13 too many!

However, 2 of the victims were a part of the Albany Football Community. Elijah Cancer was shot & killed back in July, and Joseph Davis was gunned down this past Saturday morning. These men were well known to many of us as coaches in the Albany Pop Warner program, teaching and mentoring the Albany Falcon P*eWee’s.

So, in a matter of 3 months these children have had to deal with the unfortunate, senseless loss of 2 men who served not only as instructors & coaches, but more importantly were loving positive adult role models in the lives of this team.

As adults, we have all learned many ways to deal with loss, but children of that age are not equipped to cope or deal with a situation of this magnitude.

The Albany P*e Wee Falcons take to the gridiron this Sunday afternoon at 2PM at Bleecker Stadium.

I believe we as the Albany Football Community need to be at this game to show these kids the love and support they so need at this time.

Put on your jersey or team gear and represent our football heritage by giving back to these kids in their time of need. Let’s get over there and spend some time helping out.

I hope to see you all there Sunday at 2, to celebrate and honor the legacy of Elijah and Joseph and help continue their work by supporting the team they were taken from.

Congratulations to Metro Maller Running Back Matt Holmes for being named to the American Football Association's Hall of Fame Class of 2018!!

So...for those of you who missed the 2017 league opener last Saturday...missed one for the record books....93 - 0!!! Scoring came every possible way ( on the ground, in the air, punt return, fumble return, interception returns...all but a kickoff return...unless you count Al Heath going uncontested into the end zone to pick up the ball that was simply laying still in the end zone when we kicked off to the Wildcats....On the road this week to Kingston to face a little more seasoned Hudson Valley Bucs...4-0 so far for 2017! Go Mallers!

This thing is telling me I have to post something....Ok here goes: Maller's Alumni, The 2017 WFF Regular Season Home season kicks off this Saturday Nite at Schenectady HS! Coming off a 2016-17 USFA National Championship Victory over Western Missouri, our team has rolled off already run off 3 non-league wins in 2017 including a romp over Syracuse and finally getting over the hump with a victory over the Brooklyn Seminoles!! The first league spanking of the season kicks off at 7PM vs. the Central NY Wildcats...out of Chittenengo!! Lets get out and support our 2017 Legacy!!! Go Mallers!!
