Attention Falcon fans!

Due to an unexpected conflict, the girls' modified soccer home game scheduled for Monday, Sept. 14 has been rescheduled to Monday, Sept. 28.

Attention students in grades 9-12! If you are interested in performing majorette, please check out these details about the Albany High spirit team tryouts, which will now take place on Sept. 16!

Attention Falcons! Tryouts for the Albany High spirit team are postponed and will now take place on Wednesday, Sept. 16, from 4-6 p.m. in the dance studio (room 3132) at Albany High.

The spirit team will perform majorette at school-sponsored events and athletic competitions this fall, and all students in grades 9-12 are invited to try out.

Our athletic department decided to postpone the tryouts until Sept. 16 after identifying an issue in Final Forms that was impeding the registration process. This issue has been rectified, and students and families should now be able to complete the registration process.

Sports practice update!

Please be advised that practice for boys' modified soccer (grades 7-8) hosted at Stephen and Harriet Myers Middle School is canceled for today, Tuesday, Sept. 8.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused students and families.

Practice will resume tomorrow, Wednesday, Sept. 9 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at Myers.

Attention families of students in grades 7-8! If your student plans to play a modified sport this fall and still needs a physical, please check this out!

Tryouts and practices for boys' soccer, girls' soccer, boys' cross country, girls' cross country and volleyball, will begin on Monday, Aug. 31 for students in grades 7-8.

If your student still needs a physical, the district physician will be available to facilitate sports physicals at William S. Hackett Middle School from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 31.

Attention students in grades 9-12! Check out these details about a new fall sport being offered by Albany Athletics.

Albany Athletics is thrilled to announce a new fall sport — the Albany High spirit team!

City School District of Albany students in grades 9-12 are invited to try out for the team. Tryouts will take place on Friday, Sept. 11 from 3:45-6 p.m. in the Albany High Dance Studio (room 3132).

Students on the spirit team will showcase routines at school-sponsored events and athletic competitions, featuring a variety of different performance styles, including, but not limited to majorette, step and dance.

Important details about sports physicals!

Falcons, make sure you have a current physical on file in Final Forms if you plan to participate in either modified or high school fall sports!

Families are encouraged to get a completed physical from their child's physician.

The district physician will also be available to facilitate sports physicals at Albany High in room 4253 on the following dates:

Monday, Aug. 17 from 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m.
Thursday, Aug. 20 from 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m.

Sports physicals on Aug. 17 and 20 are free and no appointment is necessary.

Important update for students in grades 9-12 about volleyball open gym sessions at Albany High!

Attention Falcons and families! Volleyball open gym is canceled for the following dates: Aug. 11, Aug. 13, Aug. 18 and Aug. 20.

Students preparing for the upcoming volleyball season are invited to participate in our open gym workout sessions taking place from noon to 3 p.m. Monday - Thursday in the weight room and cardio room at Albany High.

Falcons and families! Check out these details about soccer open gym sessions, which will begin this coming Tuesday, Aug. 11.

Attention Falcons and families! Open gym sessions for boys' soccer and girls' soccer will start next week on Tuesday, Aug. 11.

Students in grades 9-12 interested in trying out for soccer this fall season are invited to come to the weight room on Tuesdays from 5-6:30 p.m. and to the turf on Wednesdays from 6-8 p.m.
