Yula Cisneros Montoya is the only dance pedagogue in the San Luis Valley who has performed professionally and trained formally at universities and dance companies.

Yula earned a BFA in Dance with a Pilates certification from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, Washington. She teaches specialized dance techniques in ballet, modern, African and Afro-Latino dance aesthetics and dances. She has an eclectic dance background because of her extensive dance experience in Mexico, Cuba, the Ukraine, Mozambique, South Africa, and the United States.
