Amazing Sake Making class last Saturday. Everyone was super engaged and so much fun. Special thanks to my best mate for coming out and supporting us. Someone had bought the first car I had ever owned, drove it to Berkeley, and parked it right outside the class! Oh and the Moto is fermenting strong.

Just finishing up Crush 2025. What a fun year. I’m ready to do it all over again! Or is it time to start thinking about Fall sake?!

Grapes aren’t the only thing you harvest in September around here. Last year I had two (2) hops from my vines. This year a few more. Can’t wait for next year’s harvest. I think I’ll finally be able to make a beer out of them. 😂

More Crush 2025 action. Out picking in Oakley and crushing it in Oakland. And a little peek at my dream home cellar room.

Crush 2025 is well under way I had a lot of fun helping them bring in some beautiful Syrah, Tanant, and Sangiovese.

Moto (sake starter) has turned from thick oatmeal consistency to watery porridge, bubbling, and starting to smell like really good sake. I love sake yeast #9. I also planned out the Moromi (main ferment phases. Looks like I’ll be steaming a lot of rice starting on Sunday! Oh, and I wish I had this logo is tshirt form!
