Alameda Museum needs to consult with the actual tribe of this area, Muwekma Ohlone Tribe to RETURN ITEMS STOLEN FROM THE ALAMEDA SHELLMOUNDS

For the past 70 years, Alameda Museum misidentified Ohlone people as “a branch of Miwok”. That changed as soon as the Alameda Native History Project came on the scene and corrected their misinformation.

Monday’s feast at the special harvest.

Everyone had a hand in it.

Bison ribs with elderberry and blackberry “siu” glaze
Mixed sweet potato and gold potato mash
Sautéed zucchini, onion and fresh oyster mushroom
Smoked butternut squash
Smoked fresh oyster mushrooms dipped in the siu marinade
Strawberry and feta salad with walnuts and pomegranate

Nothing like sharing a meal with new and old friends.
