Thank you to the school district and the district office staff for making this trip possible 💕

Our amazing cross country students from Akutan, False Pass, King Cove and Sand Point united for a week of community, competition, and fun!

Throughout the week, students enjoyed a karaoke night, a volleyball tournament, a dance, and of course, the Cross Country Regionals race. It was a great opportunity for our students from across our communities to connect, compete, and support one another.

We are proud of all our students for their respect, sportsmanship, and positive attitudes they showed throughout the week. Congratulations to our cross country winners, and thank you to everyone who made this past week such a success!

We had two great presenters for our first Career Day Connections. Jacob and the cross country runners zoomed in from Sand Point and the rest of our school was here connected in Akutan, with our guests Vivian and Zack in Fairbanks. They gave a great presentation about what Space Physics is and how you could get into that type of work. A key takeaway from their presentation is to be curious and to never give up even when things are difficult, because some of the basics of physics and math can be challenging.
