We are excited to announce that our 7th and 8th grade Symphonic Choir has been selected to perform at the 2027 Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) Professional Development Conference! Being selected to perform at the state conference is one of the highest honors for musical ensembles in the state of Ohio, and we are excited to represent Akron Public Schools amongst some of the finest bands, choirs, and orchestras in the state!

Northeast Ohio talent is hitting the road! ✨
Congratulations to Kyle McFalls, Julia Martini, and Kris Lyons on joining the National Tour of The Who's Tommy Musical - three incredible performers with roots right here in Northeast Ohio. 👏

Kyle and Julia are alumni of Playhouse Square's Dazzle Awards presented by Pat & John Chapman. Kyle, our 2024 Best Actor winner, will take on the role of Cousin Kevin, while 2022 Best Supporting Actress winner Julia joins the company as a swing.

Julia and Kris share another special connection as graduates of Baldwin Wallace University's Music Theatre program. Cleveland native, Kris will bring her powerhouse talent to the role of the Acid Queen.

And the excitement doesn't stop there! The National Tour of The Who's TOMMY launches this October at Playhouse Square before traveling across North America. We can't wait to cheer on our hometown stars and the entire company as they kick off the tour right here in Cleveland! ✨

The stage is set at Our Lady of the Elms for the West Akron Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast! Featuring performances from the Miller South Vocal and Piano programs. The event runs from 8am-noon. We hope to see you for pancakes and music!

Please review the available slots below and click on the button to sign up. We would really like our 8th grade parents to be able to sit and enjoy their children's last vocal performance, so we would love it if we had some lower grade parents take these roles. Thank you!
