Welcome back to the STVM Family, Lauren Taylor! ☘️

We are so excited to welcome Lauren back to the Irish Family as our new Title I Intervention Counselor! Lauren brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team, having retired from Akron Public Schools before continuing to serve students as both an Intervention Specialist and Guidance Counselor at several Catholic schools.

Her extensive background working with students of all ages and backgrounds will be a true blessing to our staff and students alike. We are so grateful to have her gifts and dedication back in our halls! ✨

Three corridors include:

Congratulations to Matt Dunn VM87 on an incredible honor! ☘️
Matt has been elected International President of the International Organization of Marianist Lay Communities (IO-MLC). His election took place during the organization’s General Assembly in Bogotá, Colombia, on August 20, 2026.

Matt brings extensive experience to this role, including service as Regional Responsible for North America, Ireland, and Australia and as past Chair of the Marianist Lay Community of North America.

As a Catholic school in the Marianist tradition, STVM is especially proud to celebrate an alumnus whose leadership and service continue to advance the Marianist mission around the world. Matt’s example reflects the lifelong commitment to faith, community, and service that we seek to inspire in every STVM student today.

Today, the STVM community came together for our Opening School Mass on the Memorial of St. Augustine, celebrated by Fr. Damian Ference, Vicar for Evangelization for the Diocese of Cleveland. 🙏✨

Last Wednesday, we celebrated our second annual Green Street Social and this year was one for the books! ☘️

The festivities began with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony at the brand new gates of VanDevere Automotive Family Stadium, officially welcoming our students through the doors of our newly enhanced home for the first time.✂️

Once the ribbon was cut, students, faculty, and staff flooded the field for an afternoon of fun featuring hot dogs, snacks, and plenty of friendly competition. From co****le to spikeball to volleyball, the energy and Irish Pride were on display! ✨

A huge thank you to Student Council and everyone who contributed to organizing such a memorable afternoon. Your hard work and dedication made it all possible!
