“Aren’t they supposed to be sleeping through the night by now?”
It’s one of the most common questions I hear, and one of the most misunderstood parts of infant sleep.

The truth is, many babies still wake during the night past 6 months. And that’s okay! Sleep isn’t a one-size-fits-all, and there are so many normal reasons for night wakings — from feeding needs to developmental leaps.

What matters more than meeting a timeline is understanding your baby’s unique sleep needs — and creating a gentle plan that works for your family.
