HB232 was signed by Governor Kasich on April 10th! The bill is officially finished! The civil service exemption will be removed on July 9th when the bill is effective. This means that anyone who has the title of social worker but is not licensed will have to have a new job title assigned if they have worked for the agency for less than two years. Thanks to everyone who helped make this happen!

April 8 is Equal Pay Day. For every dollar paid to a man, a woman today is paid about 77-81 cents. This reality has major implications for women’s ability to afford essentials like food, housing and gas. It also has a tremendous impact on our economy because, now more than ever, American families rely on the wages of women. The Labor Department is working to make it easier for women to learn about the pay gap and take action to protect their rights. Learn more at www.dol.gov/equalpay.
