SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Skylar Shirey! Skylar is graduating as a Special Education major and she will be teaching next year at Jefferson Elementary School as an Early Learning Special Education Teacher! Her favorite college memory was the PUB foam party in 2023, when asked about it, she said "that year was the first year of the USCA LIFE program and one of the first events I took all of the students to. We spent the night playing in the foam, dancing, and even got our program director to come into the foam.
This was the first night I truly fell in love with the LIFE program, and it changed the trajectory of my life." Skylar, we will miss you so much, and we are so excited to see what an impact you will make at Jefferson Elementary. Skylar, we are so proud to call you a Forever Fellow. 🫶⭐️🎓✏️

This week we are so excited to spotlight one of our graduating seniors: Maddie Hawkins! Maddie is graduating as a Secondary Education major with a concentration in English and a Middle level add on. Her favorite memory of being at USC Aiken was her time working in the USCA Writing Center. Maddie has been doing her Senior year in Japan but we are so proud of her for all her hard work and can’t wait to see what she does next! Maddie, we are so proud to call you a Forever Fellow✏️📓🫶

Congratulations to Antwone Williams for becoming USCA's 2026-2027 SGA School of Education Senator! We’re so proud of him and his leadership. Education Focused Friday was a success!! We are so proud of our USCA Teaching Fellows for hosting the Education majors panel and helping out at this focused Friday to support future education majors and leaders!
