O2.0 was completed today with the help on an army of extremely hard working individual putting in ton of man hours in this marathon day.
Thanks to everyone that helped us starting Wed with the receiving of the mat covering and vinyl (Bobby, Craig, Aiden, PJ, Andy). The pallet weighed 500lbs and the elevator was broken.
Friday night where we glued the wall mats to the plywood (Safe and Chad). Thanks to Chris S, Josiah, and Ian for covering my adults class so I could work on the mats.
Saturday included Josiah and his two sons in law, Safe, Craig, Ian, Matt, Scott, Andy and Drew (prior to catching a plane), Eric, Jay, Kameron, Travis and I hope I did not miss anyone.
We are so appreciative of everyone's sacrifice and hard work! There were so many man hours put in today with multiple crews working on a ton of projects simultaneously starting at noon otherwise we would not have finished by 10:30pm.
I think it came out incredible. I cannot wait until the team gets to see it in person. No more taping the mats which was my most hated academy task. I had a early morning soccer game for Damien at 9am (showed up at 8:15am) and then jetted over to O2 to start the work. I am so tired and sore, but it is so worth it. We are so blessed!

We wanted to share a huge moment in one of our brother's lives and he asked Maestro Ian Beltran who is a highly ranked officer to share this reenlistment event. Jayshawn is not only a beast on the mats, but a very positive person that is always willing to share his techniques and is a very smart young man who will be getting an electrical engineering degree soon. Congratulations Jayshawn!
From Ian, this is a monumental event for this young man and it was an honor that he asked me to swear him. I am asking him if it would be ok to share with the rest of O2, to show his service to the Nation, USAF, and the State of Hawaii. Super proud of this young man.

If you missed class Tuesday night, you missed out! Professor Kaleo Hosaka stopped in and taught some Judo and some passing the guard. He has been working crazy hours so it was a treat for him to come in and teach. He also popped in the day class with Professor Bobby on Monday. Don't miss these opportunities!
See you in class!

Thanks to all that came to support the promotion of Craig and give him a "pat on the back" for years of dedication and for obtaining his black belt.
As most of you know, there are no fast track or short cuts for getting a black belt at O2 Martial Arts Academy which is why it is still a short list of those who obtained black belts with our team. You have to put in the time and pass the self defense test as you climb every rank or it is a no go. Most do not have the patience, humility, and dedication for the journey. Luckily the timing worked out so Craig was able to test with Grandmaster Relson for his black belt which is important for us to have our master confirm and approve his ex*****on of the test. Our students follow the path that Grandmaster Relson taught us.
Craig is a perfect example of a hard working, dedicated, and selfless student and instructor who is always very generous with his time and is constantly helping others get better and share his knowledge. He is a major asset to O2 and we could not be more proud of him.
