Mustang on a Mission:Jorge Pena was selected State National Bank’s Employee of the Year! We are proud of you Jorge!
Always a Mustang!

JORGE PENA NAMED STATE NATIONAL BANK’S EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR

Jorge Pena graduated with honors from Sands High School in Ackerly where he was active in sports. While in junior high school in Ackerly he met a girl named Elizabeth, who later became his wife.

“We’ve been together half our lives,” says Jorge. “We still live in Ackerly where we enjoy being with our families. That’s our hobby. We love to do things together.”

After earning an associate degree from Howard College, Jorge attended Amarillo college for a year and a half, then went to work at a credit union in Big Spring.

“I went right from school to work,” says Jorge. “I was at the credit union for a while then started working at State National two and a half years ago.”

He first worked in new accounts then when his analytical skills were recognized, he went to the bookkeeping department. He says he gets to work with a great team.

”I really love what I do. In this department you wear a lot of different hats and have to find a solution to everything. “

Jorge is quite happy at State National.

“This is a fabulous working environment. I feel fortunate to work here. Everybody here is amazing. It’s a tight knit group. I actually look forward to coming to work every morning. If I was to stay here the rest of my life, I’d be pretty content.”

Jorge had a simple response to being named the bank’s employee of the year.

“It’s a great honor and I’m grateful for it.”
