The Murphy Family and admins of this page are Christian believers...some are Catholic, some are Protestant, but we ALL believe that Jesus Christ is our savior. With 2.4 million followers on this page, I know that not all of you are. Nevertheless, I make no apologies for our beliefs and for our faith in the power of prayer. We've all been wrecked by the news coming out of Afghanistan and although it feels as if we are helpless at times, we are not. Prayer is a powerful tool that can move mountains... even the evil plans of the Taliban. A friend of mine who is a powerful prayer warrior shared this on her personal page tonight and it is so, so good! I had to share with all of you who are willing to join us in prayer. I plan to print it out and pray it daily. Please join me!

Father, I come boldly to Your throne of grace and cry out for Afghanistan and her people. I lift up the families who are fleeing Taliban forces. I cover them in the powerful blood of Jesus; that they remain in the shadows and safety of your wings- supernaturally undetectable- as Jesus was when He slipped through the crowds that sought His life.
I ask that You loose Your ministering angels to lead them safely out of their cities into secure places of refuge- even waking, quickening them at the right times to exit as You go before and behind them as You did during Israel's exodus out of Egypt. I pray for divine intervention and supernatural provision for the men, women and children.
I pray for great signs, wonders, and miracles to abound abundantly in the Afghan church- that all who see would believe and be strengthened in faith. I pray that even as Taliban members witness your mighty working hand, they would tremble and repent. I pray that Your children would draw strength from their union with You.
For those who have been abducted, I declare FREEDOM, FREEDOM, FREEDOM in the name of Jesus. You are their defender, protector. We pray that no harm come to them. I pray that the literal shackles, walls, and strongholds that bind them break, crumble, and shatter. As countless prayers and praises go up to You, that You, Mighty God, would invade their space accompanied by Your strong, magnificent acts.
I pray that the resources of the Taliban shrivel up and be put to not! Faithful Father we declare that all the plans of the enemy would be foiled, even the weaponry in their control be utterly destroyed for You Lord "break the bow and bend the spear". I pray every intelligence prove to be faulty and machines malfunction at Your hand. Where the enemy would come in one way, You would cause him to flee in seven.
We thank You for our precious brothers and sisters in the faith - who even in the face of death would not deny you. We thank You for their example, their testimony, and their sacrifice. We know their blood cries out to You; we know that You are their Avenger.
I declare that the tide would turn in Afghanistan. The Afghan church will overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony.
Wickedness, anarchy, treachery, and death we curse your roots in the name of Jesus; be cast out! I loose the powerful and transformative truth of God, His love, mercy, provision and grace. Taliban I curse your efforts; be bound in Jesus name. Jesus restore and bless Afghanistan. I ask you for the Nation. I pray that as You demonstrate Your power there, more souls in the history of that nation would come to know You and live in Your truth, joy, love, and peace.
