Spark helps me coordinate projects for my students. It's easy to put them in groups and provide directions with Spark. When the students are at home, Spark allows me to send further instructions, links, and assignments for them to do independently

Chores are no longer a "chore," when you can help a friend and earn Spark points for doing them! I love assigning chores and tracking points for my students, they stay encouraging and motivated!

My students know what to do and when to do it because they follow along in their Spark Student portals! And they love volunteering to help the younger students to earn more points for Rewards! Spark helps me keep track of it all!

Spark has been my favorite tool for organizing my students' tasks and assignments for the year! And I love the Rewards feature, it has really motivated many of my students to accomplish their goals for the day!

Final Days! ReWild will end April 22 and 23! Both days will be filled with fun activities and cleaning! I plan to have some sorting and cleaning chores in the morning for the kids to work on and then head to the river for a picnic lunch and afternoon in the woods! I would love to have a few moms join me in the afternoon to help oversee the kids. I will plan to put out a sign up sheet for volunteers and items to bring! I hope the weather cooperates!!

After homeschooling my own children for 14 years, strained finances forced me to consider returning to the workforce. Not wanting to uproot my children from their current well-established homeschool routine and community, I was encouraged by friends to start my own micro-school. Hesitant at first, once I realized starting a school on my own terms meant meeting my children's needs as well as the needs of other families in the community, I began to reimagine what a "school" could truly be! After working with multiple families over the course of several years in coops and micro-schools and providing counsel to those exiting the school system, I began to see a need for real practical support. Born out of a desire to support families transitioning out of the public school system, as well as assist homeschoolers looking for more options in their rural communities, Re*Wild Family Academy boasts Kansas' newly opened one-room schoolhouse! Re*Wild takes place in my home, which is a 100-year-old renovated church building. It allows ample space for children to move freely and accomplish their tasks. With an emphasis on nature and shaping awe and wonder for our Creator, Re*Wild Academy strives to cultivate and reclaim education based upon each family's unique needs. I provide assistance throughout the year so that each family can curate a learning path that best suits their individual children as well as their family as a whole. Parents not only have a say in what curriculum is chosen for their student, but also which days of the week they would like their student to attend.
With a combined 20 years of teaching experience both at home and in the public school environment, I bring a unique perspective to the education landscape. Re*Wild Academy runs two days a week from my home, and one day a week at a community center. Parents are supported with as little or as much assistance as they would like, with individualized pathways for each student in math, reading, and grammar. Mornings are aimed to assist students as they work through their individual schoolwork, while afternoons are filled with collaborative projects based on great literature and the nature around us. Ample outdoor time is a priority as students have almost two hours of recess as well as group projects and individual time outside throughout the day.
