Learning in action at KCIS! 💧

Our students have been busy experimenting, problem-solving and collaborating across year groups. Using pipes, hoses and water, they explored gravity, tested their ideas and worked together to find solutions.

We love seeing learning spill beyond the classroom as children of different ages share ideas, experiment and learn from one another.

One of our favourite KCIS traditions… cake!

At the end of every school year, our whole staff team comes together to celebrate everything we’ve achieved before enjoying a well-deserved break.

Here’s to another year of hard work, teamwork, laughter and so many special memories. Thank you to our amazing staff, students and families for being part of it all. We can’t wait to do it all again next term! 💙

Quarter Finalists in the FUBA National Primary School Basketball League for our U11 mixed and our U13 boys and girls teams.

We may have been the youngest and smallest team in the league, but we never let that define us. We turned up. We showed resilience. We kept believing. We played with integrity. Even when the scoreboard was against us, we kept fighting until the final whistle.

Along the way, we have grown in knowledge, confidence and skill. We’ve built friendships, learned from every game and finished the season with even more determination and confidence for next season.

A huge thank you to for providing such a fantastic opportunity, for the guidance, advice and the warm welcome throughout the season, especially Lawrence, Koma & Trish.

Thank you to our parents for your unwavering commitment and support 💙; to our players for always showing up, for rising to each and every challenge and for consistently giving your best and making us proud 💙; and to our coaches for your time, dedication, belief and inspiration 💙.

Today, our Student Council proudly presented UGX 3,000,000 to Score Beyond and UGX 4,800,000 to Uganda Conservation Foundation

Every shilling was raised by our students through dress-up days, bake sales and our Slip ‘n’ Slide event.

For a small school, this is an incredible achievement. More importantly, it reflects something even greater: a community of children who understand that they have the power to make a difference.

We are so proud of our Student Council for leading these initiatives and of every student, family and member of staff who contributed along the way. Together, you’ve shown that kindness, generosity and teamwork can create a lasting impact.

KCIS was honoured to host the FUBA Primary School League’s Round 2 games last Sunday, welcoming schools from across Kampala for a fantastic day of basketball, teamwork and sportsmanship.

Happy graduation to our Year 6s. What a journey it’s been. Lots and lots of laughter and a few tears as we celebrate our Year 6s.

Student Council organised a dress up day to celebrate our heroes. Students came dressed as the people who inspire them most. Some chose famous figures, while others chose the everyday heroes who make a difference through kindness, courage, service and determination.

A reminder to us all: you never know who is watching, learning from you, or seeing you as their hero. Sometimes the greatest impact comes from ordinary people doing extraordinary things.

From painting and drawing to sculpture, collage and mixed media, our annual Art Festival celebrated the creativity, imagination and individuality of every child.

At KCIS, art is about more than producing a final piece. It is about experimenting, taking risks, solving problems, expressing ideas and developing confidence. Through the creative process, students learn to observe the world more carefully, think critically and communicate in new ways.

We are incredibly proud of the thought, effort and originality on display throughout the festival. Thank you to all the families who joined us to celebrate our young artists.
