KAMONKOLI, BUDAKA — For 80 students at LivingStone International University (LIU), Friday marked more than the end of their university studies. It was a moment to celebrate years of learning, perseverance and preparation for the next chapter of their lives.

Surrounded by family, friends, faculty and university leaders, the graduates walked across the floorFstage during LIU’s 11th graduation ceremony, receiving certificates, diplomas and bachelor’s degrees in Education, Business Administration, Journalism, Science and Information Technology, and Christian Ministry.

Held at the university’s main campus in Kamonkoli, Budaka District, the ceremony carried the theme “Be the Light,” drawn from Ephesians 5:8—a message that reflected the university’s emphasis on preparing graduates not only for careers, but also for meaningful service and leadership in their communities.

The ceremony was presided over by Third Deputy Prime Minister and Minister without Portfolio Rukia Nakadama, who represented Vice President Jessica Alupo as chief guest.

The university also commissioned a new administration block during the graduation celebrations, adding to its growing infrastructure and providing additional capacity as the institution continues to develop.
